Laura Ames is a ceramic artist residing in Santa Rosa, CA. She has been studying and making art since she retired from PG&E in 2009. Laura alternates from sculpting, to making pottery, to glazing and painting. Her work is inspired by nature and the world around us. Many of her sculptures reflect a theme of world issues through animal imagery: Climate Change, Immigration, Covid, and Peace - often with a sense of humor.
