Beth Failor lives in the Northern California Wine Country. She has been working as an artist for the past 4 decades, and teaching K-12 art in private schools for 16 years. Introducing her students to a variety of mediums, methods, and art movements has encouraged her own exploration of media and style. Her broad experience in art making has developed into a passion for drawing and painting. Beth loves the fresh, painterly quality of plein air painting, yet continues to experiment in her studio with a variety of approaches such as multi-media and collage.
Beth has been a lifelong learner. She graduated with distinction from multiple BFA programs, earning degrees in sculpture and ceramics, and illustration. While an art student, she won a performance based scholarship granted by the Hallmark Corporation in collaboration with the Academy of Art College. Beth has studied digital imaging and design extensively. She studied abroad at the Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy, and is currently finishing her MA degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
For Beth, art is about love, truth, and beauty. She is committed to nurturing relationships through art making and exploring imagery that elicits a deeper connection with self and others.
