BETH FAILOR

Beth Failor lives in the Northern California Wine Country. She has been working as an artist for over 4 decades and taught K-12 art in private schools for 16 years. Introducing her students to a variety of mediums, methods, and art movements encouraged her own exploration of media and style. Beth has pushed herself beyond the limits of her classical training to explore innovations in color, technique, and content. Currently, she is working on a series of paintings that depict industrial sites, businesses, and agriculture.

Beth has been a lifelong learner. She graduated with distinction from Pacific Lutheran University, earning a degree in sculpture and ceramics. While raising a family Beth earned an additional degree in illustration from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She has studied digital imaging and design extensively. Beth spent a summer in Florence, Italy studying painting at the Santa Reparata International School of Art, while concurrently finishing her MA degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

For Beth, art is about love, truth, and beauty. She is committed to nurturing relationships through art making, and exploring imagery that elicits a deeper connection with self and others.
