Milo Lawrence
Milo worked as a scenic designer for theater in NYC for a decade before moving to work full-time in glass; they use their experience designing for stories on stage to make stained glass pieces centered around stories, including and especially the ones we tell about ourselves. Currently Milo is making miniature architectural sculptures in stained glass that use the metaphor of windows as views into fictional, historical, and personal worlds - they take inspiration from gothic and medieval churches, using the architectural forms to pay homage to other fonts of inspiration. Milo also makes more traditional leaded glass windows and lamps in the Tiffany style and takes particular pride in designing functional pieces to be uniquely suited to their surroundings.
